Juicing Newbie!

So I decided to take the plunge and buy a juicer to see if I could get more vegetables into my diet.

I ended up buying the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor from Amazon

Last night I went shopping for fruits & veggies at Shop Rite after work. I tried my best to buy Organic but didn't get everything. I'm going to need to switch up where I buy my fruits & veggies...maybe go to Adams instead or Natures Pantry.

Anyway...here is a picture of what I planned out to put in the juice this morning...
You can see I have a tomato, 4 carrot sticks, 4 celery sticks, spinach, radishes, kale, apple, pear & orange.
I prepped this all the night before so it would be easier to make in the morning. I didn't weigh anything for calorie content but may do that in the future.

First thing in the morning I took everything out of the fridge, peeled the orange and juiced it.

Now I know it doesn't look very appetizing but it tasted pretty darn good for never having made anything like this. It had a bit of bite i'm assuming from the kale/spinach/radishes but was pretty tasty.

Looking forward to tomorrow when i'll try some different ingredients. I'll probably just post the before pictures on my regular daily blog post from now on.

I felt super energized this morning so that's definitely a positive. I'm sure there will be many more positives from getting more vegetables in my diet since I normally don't eat much.
